The question of “Why should a business spend resources on Web 2.0 marketing?”, has been a frequent topic of conversation between my clients and I this past year. Allow me to address and impress the importance of the matter here.

As for my clients – they are primarily real-world shop owners, small service businesses, authors and the like. You know the type, normal people with ‘real’ businesses, not internet marketers that spend their working hours connected to the world wide web.

Nonetheless, the same reasons and rules apply to each of us, except the real world business owner has to do what an internet marketer can do in much shorter time (or contract the work out). These business owners do, after all, have a business to run.

Whether you’re a busy entrepreneur or an internet marketer who just wants to get the job of website traffic over with and spend more time with your family, I will be sharing tips and time-savers on accomplishing social marketing on this site.

I’ll be covering over 30 top social sites (and share my ins/outs and workarounds to each of them). Some of these may be smaller and up-and-coming sites while others are well known and have millions of registered users and visitors per month. You’ll find that of the sites I review, approximately:

92% have a Google Page Rank of 5/10 or higher

84% have a Google Page Rank of 6/10 or higher

64% have a Google Page Rank of 7/10 or higher

32% have a Google Page Rank of 8/10 or higher

And if Google’s page rank doesn’t impress you, perhaps you’d like to know these Alexa findings of some of the sites I’ll be featuring:

92% have an Alexa Traffic Rank in the top 35,000

60% have an Alexa Traffic Rank in the top 4,500

36% have an Alexa Traffic Rank in the top 500

16% have an Alexa Traffic Rank in the top 75

12% have an Alexa Traffic Rank in the top 10
